If I remember right, I don't think this 1999P is listed.

It is a wavy step, but without die marks it is hard to tell which one.

You know what Robert, I think I got my 99s mixed up. There were too many ws for me to go through. I gave in early in the search.

Hi All.
Does someone have a picture (or could someone direct me to one via link) of the most obvious, unmistakable example of a "wavy step", (with arrows pointing at the anamoly) please? I'd like to keep my eye out for them, but I'm afraid at THIS point, I wouldn't know a wavy step if the Big Kahuna himself was riding the face of the Lincoln Memorial screaming "cowabunga"..!
Thanks.

George - Go to this site; traildies.com. Once there, look up die 1999P-1DER-015 or 1994P-1DER-001. These are two very strong wavy steps.
Here is a link to the 1994 wavy steps; http://traildies.com/id15.html

Thanks BJ. (Those examples "tell the story".)
I appreciate it.

Never heard of the Wavy Steps. Good to know. I hope my eyes don't bug out more than they already are looking for this one.

My first encounter with wavy steps went like this. I read an article about wavy steps in the ERRORSCOPE, checked my batch of coins from the bank, and found a beautiful example of wavy steps on a 1993-D penny. I still need to attribute it! Maybe when I get back home.
