Hey everyone. I came across this coin. Does it appear to be end of roll toning or missing a clad layer?

Careful with the word "clad" around here. (LOL, LOL) I think its toning as well. I think we all come across these fairly frequently. I also thought at times that it may be the result of the couin being subjected to excessive heat from some source.

Since this is not a zinc core Lincoln cent, the word clad or platting should not be used in its description. As for the discoloration, it is either natural (NT) or artifical (AT) toning.

With the exception of some 82s' and some 40s' all LCs' prior to 83 are a solid copper mix and not plated... Nice toning!!!
