This kind of thing never ceases to amaze me- a coin that is clearly machine doubled and bears no resemblance to known die variety photos sells for $200...

Seller says the TPG didn't catch the DDO, yeah because it isn't there. That $200.00 could have bought a couple good coin books.

yeah thats sad to sell something that isnt there

the buyer should realize what one looks like - it looks like the same buyer that bought this 1984 Lincoln bought a fake 1846 dollar - something looks funny about it - probably a Chinese copy

That's sad! Unfortunately, most seem to spend hard-earned money on junk instead of investing in knowledge and reference material. A wealth of information can be obtained on the internet free, such as this LCR site and even my free DVN magazine.

Could not agree more Billy... The old saying is "Buy the book before the coin"is very appropriate here.

Have spoke with sevearal newbies asking about reference material. I end up recommending "such and such" and they tell me they can't find it it is out of print.

With the internet as such a being a powereful resource, sites like this and others should prove to be of value to new Lincoln Cent Collectors.
