I kept this for years thinking it was one of my first double die. NOT! It's an extraordinary die deterioration/machine double.

Oh my, do you know how much I understand what you are saying?!?!?
Right now I am going through coins I set aside for just this reason and am finding many of them not being what I thought they were.
We must all be so totally grateful for the wonderful education we are receiving from all the experts, and every post all of our colleagues have made. If not for all of our LCR friends we would be in the dark about our hobby.
Hip Hip Hooray Everyone!!!!

Those are some real good example of die deterioration Aisha. If you look hard enough, you will find some that are even worse than that. I tend to hold on to these too!

Aisha - Since I have known you, your progress has excelled tremendously. I commend your dedication to both learn and the finer points of being observant.

I must also echo my praise to Jean as well for you have both have proved that numismatics is just not a man's hobby as it was once toted to be.

I beseech you both to continue in your endeavors; our hobby dramatically needs people such as you two.

Thank you so much Robert. Your kind words and your kindness to us all will never be erased.
It was our own, Bob sweetie Pi(e)azza that schooled me on my FIRST lesson on die deterioration/MD. Thank you too Bob.

Simply delete your posts here and open it in a new thread. I don't know much about these ones.

Jim, he had started a new "thread" inside this thread, so I was telling him how best he could fix it.

What do you get when you cross a wheat penny and a 6-year-old?

Right! A Young Numismatist!
