So I sent in some coins and the 1980 comes back as:
USA 1C 1980 D/S VP-001 BN

Now.. I thought the D/S was debunked and well according to Charles it has been?

Strange that they would still slab them that way once debunked. At least without that noted???? Maybe someone here would have the answer to that. :tinysmile_hmm_t2:

The 1980 D/S is debunked. NGC is very stubborn about their Variety Plus program. They don't like putting new coins on the list or taking coins off. ANACS no longer certifies that variety. Is that the 1980 D/S I sold you?

Not sure is the 80 d/s still in the Wexler files? If so, doesn't ANACS still certify it ?

Related.. Doesn't ANACS still certify the 56 WDMM-001?

Good question. I have one and I'm wondering if I should keep mine.

I emailed John Roberts, who is an ANACS grader. Here is the correspondence:

Hi John,
Quick question. Does ANACS still certify the 1956 D/S omm #1 wdmm-001 Lincoln Cent? It was delisted by CONECA. Can you please let me know?

Thanks,
Brad Podraza

Hi Brad,

We won't call this an OMM any longer. It has not been de-listed in the Cherrypicker's Guide and I doubt that it will be based on past actions with other varieties. ANACS now lists these as 1956-D FS-511 with no other description.

Hmm Interesting.. I noticed the cheap slab store still is selling the 56-D DMM-001 for $75.00... I have the coin I traded WAY to much for and a few other's... They have become quite common.....

Those are common. CONECA does not list that one either. What is your opinon about those two possible OMM's Eric???
