It's like bright and shiny..
Maybe you found a 1957 D stuck on a gold planchet...wouldn't that be nice. It looks plated form the pics..but they are a bit blurry. It may have been heavily cleaned.

That's what I thought. What type of metal? It doesn't look silver.
