Yeah, it's circulated. I pulled it from one of my Dad's rolls. Apparently he hasn't rolled pennies in a while. I haven't found any later than 1995 out of about 130 rolls.

Nice, Sure to be more good stuff in that. My family thinks it's funny how excited I get about their pennies. Until I show them what I got for those 1992D Close AMs.

Already gone through all of that and just finished off the rolls last night. All together, 2 discovery pieces and several minor varieties. Had to have been at least 5 rolls of 92d, but no close AMs.:( I did finally find a 1968-S after 3 months of searching.

I've been finding BU 68S in the last 5 months. About 40 of them.

Shingpumps - We have found atleast a 1/2 roll of those 1968-s uncs. In fact we are finding every date in the sixies in Unc, especially 1964P and 1967P.

Yep, that is where they they come from. OBW rolls. I know one particular variety specialist who has ten rolls of BU 1960-D RPM1s. No kidding... I've seen 'em.

Both dies are suffering from die fatigue around the perimeters of the designs (the ridge in the motto); the type common to plated Lincoln cents and most often seen from around '84 to '94. There are the beginnings of Die Deterioration Doubling (DDD) within that ridge. I would strongly suspect the dies clashed and all the polish lines are from the dies being filed down to erase any clash marks. I don't see anything that makes me think DDO or DDR.

Is there any particular reason why we are discussing 1986 coins in a thread 2 years old that talks about 1968S??

Don't get discouraged. I about gave up searching junk quarters when I found a 1941 large S that paired with the small S. Seems I can never see everything with 1 or 2 passes ?
