Has anyone ever heard of this error?
I found a 1999-P and the "America" on the reverse is definately doubled.
I will post picture as soon as my daughter gives the camera back to me.
Please advise.
Thanks again
Roger

Based on the coin being struck using the single squeeze method, and the majority of the verified doubled dies for this year being in the center of the die, and not the outer devices, I'd be inclined to say machine doubling. However, as Shingpumps states, we would like to see a pic to confirm it one way or the other.

RWBILLER,
I could have used the terminology of mechanical doubling, vs machine doubling. Both terms are used pretty liberally in the hobby, but they are basically the same thing. Sorry for any confusion.
