My first find of any kind in weeks. For once I'm pretty sure I'm right.
Please confirm, anyone. Thanks.

That is indeed a nice find, and your attribution is correct. For folks who need the CONECA attribution number, it is 22-O-VIII. This variety has been known about for many years, but I don't hear much about new finds of it.
Way to break your dry spell. Great find.

Looks MS. Where did you find it?
Looks MS. Where did you find it?
I drove to NC on business a few weeks ago. Hit a few banks on the way back. This particular Ten bucks of cust. rolls had lots of BU uncirc cents from early 60s, esp. 61D, 64, 63D. (Five to ten wheaties per roll too). I think someone cashed in the old mans hoard when he died. I also think these rolls were laying around for a long time. I lost track of exactly where I got this batch, either NC, VA. or PA.
I just got to this batch last nite and tonite. I think I got a few BU RPMS from 61 and 63, but they are too tough for my old eyes to attribute. I'll go thru them again when I have more time.
By the way. Any idea what the 1964 1DO-002 is worth in MS 65?
Copper coins has it at $8.00 I think, but is that up to date?
Thanks, Dave Kearns

I love it when I get a batch like that. When the old red rolls have turned pink, and you can tell they're all older by the weight of the roll.

DWK,
The prices listed on coppercoins are pretty close to what they should be. Maybe a buck or two higher recently, but pretty close. A normal 1964P MS65 cent runs about 30 cents (according to the Red Book anyway). As I stated below, I haven't seen much of these lately, but old auction results and other sales have this variety selling from anywhere between 5-30 dollars. Once again..the caveat on the site is that the prices listed should only be used as a guide. The ultimate price is what the buyer and seller ultimately agree on based on supply and demand.
Thanks Bob. Much appreciated.
