Here is a good example of a 1944D altered (http://cgi.ebay.com/1914-D-LINCOLN-PENNY-SEE-DESCRIPTION-POSSIBLE-ERROR_W0QQitemZ360075217554QQihZ023QQcategoryZ3945 6QQssPageNameZWDVWQQrdZ1QQcmdZViewItem) to appear as a 1914D. Notice the larger D not use in 1914 and the wide space after the 9. Seller is telling it like it is and it's still getting bids.
I can't get over what these sell for. I bought two from a guy for $1.50 each, and I was concerned that I was overpaying.

Yes it is i just sent them a BEARER to bad news note. It is to bad that people bidding do not know what they are really bidding on.

These always go for more than $75 on ebay. I can't go as low as to let mine into circulation, much less sell them. But hey, if they want to pay for them.

A lot of times they just see the title and don't even read what's below. Kind of like that e-bayer that bought a play station box only, for a couple of hundred bucks.
It's at $82 with 2 days left.:tinysmile_eyebrow_t
