who knows how many 1988 RDV-006's really depends how many of us are looking for them and just like Billy C said. 20 yrs have a big effect on how many are left for us to find.
my thought of finding the 1st one last year was:
at the mint in 1988 they probably ran out of RDV-005 dies and just grabbed the next ones in line which were scheduled for the 1989 dies which actually went undected for 20 yrs until i started looking at transition years.
if someone back in 1988 discovered this die change - i bet more would of been saved like the 1998,2000 wide am's ( to bad i was chasing girls instead of looking at my pocket change- hey wait that sounds a little nerdy - i guess i'm glad i was chasing) LOL !!!!

I don't know how many there are, however it's fun searching for them, and great when you find one.

Exactly! In fact, they've helped my collection out even more because the money I got from selling the previous ones I used to get a 1980 DDO, 1964 DDR, and 1972 DDO#1.
