How many members in the LCR?

Just curious- how many members belong to LCR? I prefer this forum because I feel the intelligence factor is superior to the many options out there.

Perhaps, because of the small population of members, the idiots just don't stick out like other forums where 3 out of 4 posts is a waste of time.

I'm serious, not insulting anywhere or anyone. Some forums are just less gentle, there's no pretending that's not true.

I hang here because experienced members are nurturing with polite novices, not abrasive.

What prompted my question is I remember that Brad was planning something special for the 1000th member to join. I've referred several people I respect to this place. How many people make up our population now?

Currently 969 members listed at bottom of opening page. Many of those have only joined and visited 1 or 2 times; as can be checked under community on main page. Where you can also check to see when the last time a member has visited the FORUM.

I wonder which number will be used. The community page shows 951 members, the forums page shows 970 members and the profile page number is now at 1021 profile pages. Looks as though 446 members have never posted.

If there are that many 'inactive' members here, why doesn't LCR send out a courteous email.

I know this twas not the intent of this thread, but a good way to unite old with old and new with old.

And Chris, you I don't think you insulted anyone/where with your statements. We are who we are and they are who they are.

We should do some nurturing of new or absent members. We might consider doing something good when they have a certain consistency,somewhat like a reward of some type if they achieve some benchmark.

Two weeks ago this thread was posted and I see some new members joining this LCR community as well as dormant members posting their questions. I was encouraged to see a lot more people contributing and sharing their pictures and comments. Thanks to all who raised this concern. I would like to hear what your observations are.
