View Full Version : Again What is the Date?
There was a post somewhere here that I can't find. Someone found a coin that had Doubling on the reverse and I think it was the UN and also someone else referenced looking at the FG for doubling also. I do beleive that was what the post read. I have a 1997 that has these features and I was checking to see if this was the date.
Thank's

If it's a 1997, and there is doubling on the FG, I would tend to think mechanical doubling. There are some varieties where there is doubling on the UN of UNUM, and those are coppercoins 2002D-1DR-001, 2003D-1DR-001, 2004D-1DR-001, 2004D-1DR-002, 2004D-1DR-004, 2004D-1DR-007, 2004D-1DR-009, 2004P-1DR-001, and 2004P-1DR-002 (I think that's all of them.)

Like Bob said, if you have a newer coin that looks to have doubling on the initials it's prob die deteriation or machine.

I should have responded by now. It is MD. After Bobs post I noticed MD on the outer column and outer steps. I have since discarded it. Thank's
