View Full Version : 1995 D CONECA Die #2
I think I may have found the 1995 D DDO-002, but I can't find pics of it anywhere (unless I overlooked it). Anybody know the value of it?

I have never seen a DDO #2. I do have a 1995-D DDO#3. I'm not sure that what you may have is Mechanical Doubling as it shows a shelf appearance. I cannot see any separation on the letters or split serifs. Need to have Bob P. or someone else in the forum to take a look at it for their determination.

Off-hand it doesn't look like MD to me, i.e., it's probably a DDO- nice find!
I posted it on the coppercoins forum. Chuck Daughtrey said it was a doubled die he just didn't say which. It fits the description thats listed on CONECA.

Thanks, I wasn't sure at first. The U in TRUST is what grabbed my attention.

Nice DDO . I con not ID it. Checked Billy's book and your pics do not match any of the five 1995D ddos pictured there either.

Have Bob P. have a go at it and get it listed at Coppercoins and you might think about sending it to Dr. Wiles at CONECA to see if does match DDO #2 or you may have a new variety. I see the separation lines you were talking about. Again Great Find ! Joe

I have John Wexler's book of the 1995 P and D doubled dies, and I can not positively ID it either Joe. A key die marker for DDO-002 is a long die scratch from the left side of the I of IN down into the field. I don't think this one is it anyway. The only one that mentions TRUST is Wexler's die -005 which was discovered by Crawford. I would like to have a look at it because it may in fact be a new variety for the date.

That would be excellent if it is a new variety. Another one to keep my eye out for. Joe
Just heard from Bob. He has confirmed it as die 2 and it is listed at Coppercoins.

Hi:
The date looks alittle like md - but the "trust" makes it a double die in my opinion. nice find - good eyes!
