Hey guys I am not sure how to do a link to ebay but I just saw a 1955 DDO ( the Good One ) for very low and no reserve. It is only up to $120 something. It still has a few days but is this thing for real. I have seen some on there sale for $2000 +??
What do you guys think. I found it by searching 1955 DDO. There was only one page!
I have it in my watch list

I'm taking a guess it's this one? If it is -- that's a fake. Link to auction (http://cgi.ebay.com/1955-P-LINCOLN-WHEAT-CENT-PENNY-CHOICE-DDO-ERROR-note-/290587828659?pt=Coins_US_Individual&hash=item43a86261b3)

Hey Billy,
That one is it. I had no intention of buying it but that is super sad they are selling a known fake!!!! It's up to over $200.00 now with 5 days left. Someone is going to be robbed!!!!

I went back and compared pic to pic from the CC's site to the ebay pictures. You can tell it is definately not the same coin. The doubling looks diferent. That being said, That is scary, how do they do that to the coin??? Secondly why are they not being caught, Thats robbery, saying it is one thing when they know it isn't!! These poor people online are getting robbed. I guess a smart move would be to only purchse graded and slabbed coins from a actual grading agency.

Wow I feel sorry for these bidders! I would say that thing will bring ALOT considering it is already $255.00 and there is more than 5 days left in the auction!

In his auction below the -About Me- he says, "NOTE: This coin appears to be a copy to me."

Oh I'm quite positive the seller placed that little detail in that obscure location on purpose.

Similar to all those fine little details one has to use a loupe to find on their phone bills (Verizon/AT&T, et. all) and how they are "cramming fees" for extra services that you never ordered nor want to pay.

I totally agree and he is also covering his "6" in case it goes past the time to return it.

"I totally agree and he is also covering his "6" in case it goes past the time to return it."

He can't cover his "6" by stating things like it "looks like" or it "may be"....even no return policy won't cover a fake that is not clearly stated as a fake. Been there, done that and eBay did the right thing for me.The only thing this guy can hope is that the buyer does not have it authenticated.....that being said, I hope the seller is not one of our members as the name is familiar.

Something else...you guys know you can report a fake coin using eBay's reporting system...just report as a replica that is not clearly marked. I just reported the 14-D...can somebody else report the 55 ?
