I think you are correct also (I looked at this yesterday when it was put on) go back and look at his feedback.
Looks as though he tried to pass off another coin as being a RDV-006 and rec'd the coin back as not being as advertised. I suspect this is the same coin.

I have to agree it also looks to be a RDV-005.

I hate to admit I was the numbnuts who bought this coin the first time. It was a last minute impulse purchase. The first few pics looked okay at first glance. After I won, when I looked again and noticed how low it sold and how weird the pics really were I was like, "Uh-oh, I might have made a mistake."

I am 99% certain this is the same coin I bought and returned as the photos are the same one used previously. I don't know if it is a bate and switch. When you photograph the coin, it kind of looks right, but when you examine it under a loop for a while it doesn't look right. The "F" appeared too thin and the upper curve of the "G" didn't seem correct. I felt like there were anomalies either in the planchet or the die that gave the "G" the appearance of being RDV-006 under certain light conditions.

But truth be told, the real problem is someone cleaned the thing with something acidic. It is all acid bit on the reverse. A total waste... I probably should have mentioned that in my feedback. I just didn't think they'd sell it again.

All but the shipping - which was irritating. They shipped it in this funny way which resulted in me making 3 trips to the post-office. I only was able to stop my post-office from returning-it-sender because one of the postal employees knew me.

And the seller never apologized for the postal problems or anything else.

I never have should bid on a 'private' eBay auction, especially when they didn't normally sell coins. My bad.

When I first looked at it about 20 minutes after it was put on it just didn't look right, so I went to his feedback even though he had 100. I figured he put the coin up again after you returned it.

Sorry to hear you had a bad experience with an auction. I think everyone who buys on the auction site has had a bad experience.

I got taken on a switch job about 3 years ago for $XX.XX and no refund at all. It was on an un-plated Lincoln. Picture was good however it did not match the coin that arrived and the seller was no longer listed with the auction site when I tried to get a refund.
