My vote goes to #2, simply because he doesn't realize that anyone who's willing to spend $3000 on a coin should be knowledgeable enough to know that his auction is erroneous.

Number 1 is the most confused. He/she doesn't know anything about varieties/errors (but thinks they do). The person even calls the coin a DDOR. Does that mean it is a doubled die on both the obverse and reverse? This person simply has no clue, but here they are still selling the thing. Gotta' love eBay.
Number 4 is the most misleading. If the slab attributor would have seen doubling on the reverse, they would have said so. By simply saying "no more ink" the seller suggests it could be attributed as a DDR. Misleading. Again, you gotta' love eBay.

the 1930 maybe cause someone would pay bigger money for a MS64 and then think they got this nice bonus to it and find out sadly not. Its about the only one realistically someone may buy

the last one was kind of funny, the seller claiming a DDR but seeing it slabbed just as an MS64... I feel that just about all of these are people trying to take advantage of the less knowledgable. It seems really wrong.

knowledge is power. And knowledge is these sellers worst enemy.

I'd say they're all confuddled (either that or con artists), and the last is definitely most misleading, labeling it as 1DR-001 when it only shows die deterioration (DDD). As for the whole thing about not paying the attribution fee, that is totally out of line. Our experts charge extremely modest fees for the services they provide.

I believe the 'fees' he is talking about Wendell, are the ones from the slabbing services. In other words, none of his slabs will have the variety listed on them.
I definitely agree that this is not the DDR either. 1DR-001 is a class 6. His is MD at best. Maybe he needs more ink...
ADDED: I did email the seller about the inaccuracies in his auction. I will let you know if I get a reply

They should refer buyers to reliable sites for verification at a nominal charge since they have no knowledge of what true doubled dies are. Why don't we offer all e-Bay buyers attribution and advice for their purchases so that they don't get taken to the cleaners.
