Yet another goofball eBay seller...why do these sellers always say either A) is it from their grandfather, B) quote the "local coin shop" somehow, or C) both. Here we just have B) and for only $500.

I think this one might fall into my nonsensical adhesive doubling category:

Wow! I sure hope no one falls for that one!!

It looks like a simple stain from another cent sitting on the reverse for a long time like in a wishing well or something.

I also love how these goofball's always set exorbitant prices for the crap the pawn. They never run a straight up auction. They either set a huge start price or a "Buy it now" for $1,000,000 (with free shipping - ha ha ha).

Some are good for a laugh, but most just make me sick.

There is one guy I have been watching recently who lists a ton of varieties which sound great by the title, but once you review his pictures its obvious that all are just normal cents. Not once in over 30 auctions have I see him list a correctly attributed coin - and I have been watching!!

What's even worse is he still receives positive feedback from people that know they were duped!! I have come to believe that this guy purposefully misattributes coins to just feed of the suckers:| Unbelievable!!

These unscrupulous sellers are what make sites like the LCR a collectors best friend. With such a wealth of knowledge as found here we can all learn and become educated before we buy!

That's one reason why I joined LCR because members here speaks truth in their hearts about whether or not a coin is it or not. Before I sell Lincolns with errors or varieties at ebay, I must have it check first here at LCR to be sure and secure.
