Anyone ever heard of such a thing?. I tried to register the Domain Name www.2000WideAmDDR.com, but someone already has it. So has anyone seen or heard of one? I have heard around shows about someone who has a handful or so, and the collector I spoke to said this guy buys up rolls, and they never see light of day again. I guess he is making a niche market, and telling no one. But this collector says that they are more rare than 1999 wide AM cents. Be a good coin to get if this is all true. Pricey too.

I do know that there is such an animal, a 2000 Lincoln cent with a wide AM and an extra column, which makes it a legitimate DDR. However, even though it is the only one die of its type, I do not see much excitement in it.

PS I do have one and I believe I post the find over in Coppercoins awhile back.

All are beautiful, one has proof detail, one has DEEP DIE GOUGES, so deep I call them striations. Of the 300 I have less than 100 are DDR. Only ONE DIE has the doubled die reverse. One DIE, has a die chip over the left top of the memorial, only TWO of those have surfaced. Wait till you see these, BJ. And the Coppercoins post some time back was mine, thanks.

I will look at mine. I have over a hundred or so I have found. Anything up on the 98?
I'm waiting on a study of the 92D Close am. I have the pics from the three i found. At least two of them are of different die stages, maybe dif. dies.

I have been at these for some time. I will buy yours, Shingpumps, all of them.
There are also 1998 DDR Wide AM, comparable ratios. Looking to buy all.

What is the pick-up-point? Extra column? Which Bay#? Would anyone care to post a photo?

The 1998 Doubling is to the left of the Lincoln on the column, and more pronounced than the 2000 Wide AM DDR. The 2000 Wide AM DDR doubling is on the column to the immediate right of the lincoln statue. With the 2000 better get out at least a 16x loop, cause some of the examples are itty bitty. Thanks for the Die cap post folks, nearly like mine, BUT WAY BETTER! I have a ms 65 I think. Have to look.

Coppercoins has a pretty good picture of what the 2000 Wide AM DDR looks like, and this link is to their photo:

I sent the readers to the 2001 because it most reasonably approximated the ones I discovered, but of course, these are 2000. I am so hoping Shingpumps comes back having found some, cause he has a camera, whereas I do not, and can post some pics! Next week, I swear, I will get me a camera, it is so not fair to leave everyone here in the lurch by just mouthing off a description, so I will fix that for all!:D

Shing, I am SURE YOU WILL HAVE 5-10, MAYBE MORE. That is just the math so far. I will buy all you have, once again, all 100, and the DDR's. I collect them, and they are a resource for writing a Die Variety Piece. I know of one other collector who has 125, so who knows how many are out there? I have 300-400 rolls, OBW, of 2000, and 20-30 1999 rolls, OBW. Didn't think to hold onto 1998 till too late. I am going to open a box of $25.00 for fun tonight. And I do mean FUN!!!
