DIE VARIETIES
1925-S/S RPM #1 FS-501 PCGS VF-35 Bold repunched mintmark to the south. Better grade than often seen. $80
1950-D/horizontal D (RPM #3) ANACS MS-64 Red It was recently announced (by Billy Crawford I believe) that this RPM is actually a D over Horizontal D. That is clearly seen on this coin. To the west of the primary mitntmark, you can see the SW corner of a secondary D. This is one cool coin! Very scarce and difficult to locate in Uncirculated grades. This example is choice, I had been expecting a grade of MS65. (horizontal D not attributed on holder, just RPM #3) This one will not dissapoint! $180
1951-D/D/D RPM #8 (1MM-008) ANACS MS-64 Red This is an Early Die State specimen, though not listed on the holder as such, with a sharp strike and crisp repunching. One of the more dramatic RPMs for the year. $22
1953-S/S RPM #2 (1MM-002) CONECA Top 100! RPM ANACS MS-63 Red Very few contact marks with frosty luster. Small spot above TY behind Lincoln's neck (that's why it's an MS-63!) Strong RPM! $28
1954-S/S RPM #4 (1MM-004) CONECA Top 100! RPM ANACS MS-64 RB *EDS* As mentioned on the holder, this coin is an early die state example, which in most cases shows the RPM most clearly, certainly true here. Gorgeous even bronze color, an attractive coin all around! $29
1955-D/D FS-503 PCGS MS-64 Red A popular variety from the Cherrypicker's Guide. RPM shows to the east of the primary mintmark. $38
1956-D WRPD-001 ANACS MS-65 Red A very curious die variety which has yet to be fully explained. The top half of a secondary 5 shows beneath the primary 5 in the date, rotated roughly 40 degrees! In my own opinion, this under-publicized variety is one of the most intruiging of the entire Lincoln Series. Scarce in high grades. $120
1957-D/D RPM #3 CONECA Top 100! RPM ANACS MS-64 Red Strong secondary D showing to the south of the primary mintmark. $23
1957-D/D DDO #2 RPM #5 CONECA Top 100! ANACS MS-66 Red This variety has long been one of my favorites since Ken Potter promoted it in his COINage magazine ads in the Mid-1980s. Fun combination of a fairly strong RPM and moderate to strong doubled die on the same coin. Highest grade I've had this coin in. $95
Group of 3 1960-D RPMs- All graded MS-64 Red Trio consists of RPM #13, #21 and #23. Each of these is quite strong, among the best RPMs for the date. All 3 slabs for $59
All payments by PayPal unless other arrangements are made. Please inquire about the availability of all coins at cwelchuscoins@yahoo.com Shipping is $2.95 and free for purchases over $50. Thank you for your interest! -Chris.
