View Full Version : Lincolncent Resource List
We should start a "Lincoln Cent Resource" attribution listing or at the very least start a new association, "Lincoln Junkies".. LOL!

Hmmm........association. Sounds interesting.

I've been thinking of writing an application similar to coppercoins for this site.. But not only having errors, but having reference photos for each year of coin and mint full color, high resolution.

Sounds like a lot of long hours and hard work ahead for a project like that. I bet that it would look awsome.

How about a grading chart too.

Let me know how i can help.
I am always looking for ways to improve the site, but taking pictures of every lincoln cent in the series would be very time consuming, and I'm not sure how much use people would get out of it. I mean, they all look the same except for the date and mintmark. Keep in mind that there are almost 300 coins in the series. That is almost 600 pictures if you include the reverses. If someone else wants to take the pics, I would be glad to post them...but I wouldn't want to put anyone though that.
As far as a grading chart, this is something I have considered...

I got the grading poster from AMOS awhile back it's pretty nice.. I think if we were to compile our own we would need photos of certified G - MS68's for it to be as close to grade as we can get.
I have certifed wheats in grades VG 10, F 12, F 15, VF 30, VF35, EF40, EF 45, AU 50, AU 55, AU 58, MS 61 BN, MS 62, MS 64 RD, MS 65 RD.
In memorials I have AU 58, MS 63 RB, MS 64 RD, MS 65 RD, MS 66 RD.
I'm not sure about getting good pics though.

Yeah.. I hear ya about pics.. I'm getting new camera here soon and will try my luck with some options.. I hope to start a photo service in the near future for coins.. As well as a Video Editor and video/film guy for the last 10 years, I have some skills I could hone for photography..:)
