I am glad this came up on a thread. I was going to start one on the Mints anyway.
How many people here on this forum have actually done the tour? Hubby wants to take me to PA to see the Mint and do the tour.
What is it like? Is it informational? If you took the tour again today, do you think you would learn something different/new? Have you been to both mints? Is there a vast difference in operations between each?
Now the big question....can I organize a group tour for those on here who are willing to join me on my tour? I think its a neat idea, for those who haven't been, its an opportunity to go and visit, for those who have been there, its an opportunity to meet other forum members. I was hoping, thinking that maybe in the summer (which ironically it will reopen then) to coordinate this.
A lot of questions for one thread I know. Sorry.

Rock, I would think this would so cool for us to gather together as a group, viewing the place the creates and feeds our addiction AND we get a chance to meet and greet each other.
There are 2 locations. Philly and Denver. The Eastern side of the US can flock to Philly and the Western side can flock to Denver, or whatever people choose.
Just a suggestion.
But what I also want to know is what is a tour like? Who knows, maybe I can use my silver tongue to get us in for free because we would be representing this site.

Oh No!!! I was fearing that. yeah, told ya I could be gullible.
As the Spring approaches, if others are interested I can start planning and piecing together an organized event. I hope others are game for this too. I think it would be fun and interesting.
