This is an overlooked and sometimes elusive 1983 Doubled Die Obverse FS#1C-035.2 Die #3. This coin was found in circulation about 8 months ago.

I have never found another one in circulation and I have not seen this one at any coin shows.

I'd been looking for one for a while when I decided to break down and buy one earlier this year. Since then, I've found three (!) in circulation. Out of my 4, three have a die chip in the lower circle of the 8 in the date. Yours is an earlier state than most of mine. Nice find!

Great Find for the 1983P DDO #3 Die. Took a long time to find one. I have found none to date. Congrats and Keep Hunting.

Once again folks, you really should look at the dates that these were posted. This one was started almost 2 years ago.
