http://www.usmint.gov/images/pressroom/default.jpg WASHINGTON - The United States Mint is pleased to announce that it is reducing or maintaining 2011 prices for some of its most popular products to be offered in 2012. The bureau was able to set these lower prices and maintain others by refining the product costing process, taking advantage of current lower prices for precious metals and negotiating better pricing from its suppliers.

I went out on a limb for me and purchased this: http://catalog.usmint.gov/webapp/wcs/stores/servlet/ProductDisplay?storeId=10001&mpe_id=10101&productId=16450&intv_id=10551&evtype=CpgnClick&langId=-1&catalogId=10001&ddke
I just received it yesterday. Nice set. The way they created the design is different. They used the dot system to make the details. Very odd. I've never seen anything like it. Maybe its normal for these types of sets? I wouldn't know as this is my first one yet. It's almost as if they use laser to place the details on them.

Good for them. They're still overpriced. :tinysmile_hmm_t: I regard the U.S. mint about the same way I regard the home shopping network.
