Offering this 68-D DDR- I always guarantee my attributions, sorry for the lack of close-ups... my Amscope camera isn't compatible with Windows 7 so I'm without a microscope for a bit.

Coin has some abrasions but it does not effect any of the devices that display doubling. This is a tough doubled die!

Coin grades AU with some luster and mint red remaining. Best offer in cash or trade.

Can't you run your Amscope in compatibility mode and it work?

Dunno Wendell- I'm not a techie... I've tried downloading drivers, spent 30 minutes on the phone with Amscope taking detailed directions to patch the software, literally a couple of days worth of time spent on the issue. My other Amscope camera takes negative images (mirrored)... I'm sure someone could give me perfect directions and it won't be worth spending more time on, very frustrating.

I'm just gonna bite the bullet and buy a new cam with compatible software, will probably ship both cameras back to Amscope and tell them where they can put them... lol

Amscope Cameras === CRAP. I used mine once when I got it, and threw it in a corner after that.

To be honest- if somebody truly had the expertise and knowledge to walk me through it over the phone (typed directions aren't going to work, I need to be baby-stepped the whole way through!), I'd give them this darn coin if I could get my scope up and running, no joke.

Generally all you have to do is left-click the program, go to the bottom select "Properties."

Then go to the "Compatibility" tab. Check the checkbox to run in compatibility mode and then set it for what version you used previously. Normally the default works fine. Click apply and try that. If that doesn't work, then you're probably right about getting a new camera.

Edit: Sorry, but I was typing while you were replying. I'm not the most experienced computer techie in the world, but I know a few things.

Thanks Wendell, but I can't even get the software to download. This laptop came with Windows 7 already loaded on it, no previous versions. Lost the old computer in the divorce, I miss it more than the ex!

What model do you have? Have you been to this page: http://www.amscope.com/download.html

I have an MD400 and an MT130. Yeah, I know that page well, it's caused me great frustration.

"I still miss my ex, but my aim is getting better"!! Couldn't resist. I actually have a pinback on my Rugby jacket that says that! :LOL_Hair:

What happened when you tried to download amscope.zip and amdevice.zip?

They downloaded as read-only files. There was nothing that I could load onto my computer. I'll be the first to admit that I'm somewhat illiterate when it comes to anything beyond the basic operation of a computer, but I had my [computer-able] girlfirend spend quite a bit of time on it and she was unproductive as well.

Chugly is coming over on Wednesday- he said he deals with this sort of stuff at work and can probably get something figured out. I'll be soooo happy!

If I weren't 3000 miles away, I'd fix it for you, lol. Turning on remote desktop is an option too, should you choose to have someone attempt to fix it for you

Hmmm, never woulda though about that Andrew, if for whatever reason Chugly isn't successful, I'll talk to you about that. Thanks.

Strange. I'm sure Chugly will figure it all out.
