As far as I can tell this coin has Die Trails.
Because I am so unfamiliar with the different attributions I won't even guess at which this one is... or *if* it is.
Comments please :D

P.S. Why are these so dadgum difficult to photograph?

Hi JeanK - yes, you do have a trail die and it looks like it is pretty good.
As to photographing these little devils. I have taken over 10,000 pictures (my present camera, which my wife bought me in Feb. has 4,700 on it already) of trail dies and I still have problems at times. Since they are caused by the high points of the hub being drug over the die face at low pressure, the indents in the die are not deep (in comparison to a normal design element). So these shallow lines will not show up as well and they must have the proper lighting angle to make them appear.
Most of my pictures are shot with a 75 watt bulb, filtered through two layers of opaque plastic. A good camera is essential as is a good photo program such as "Adobe Photoshop 7".
As to your coin, I am not to sure which one it is either and it maybe a new die. If you would like, just send it down to me and I'll see what it is.

Thanks Joe.
Thanks too to Jason. No, these were set back for further attention because they had that ever faint die crack on the forehead. It wasn't until I saw the Trails that I decided to recheck them... well, thanks to my hoarding, here they are. And, I have many more years set aside to check and recheck.
Hey Daggit... sorry you had the confounded flu. It sure does knock the wind out of your sails. Glad to see you are up and about and posting pics again!
Thanks for the kudos.

Hey everyone,
I just wanted to share that I received this 2003P back from BJ today, and now it has a name 2003P-1DER-037T Stage B MDS, 020% trails on motto and in cornice, die break on forhead and on nose on obverse, and die break on the 4th column.
Attribution by BJ Neff, and now listed on his and Bob Piazza's Traildies! YAHOO!
Thank You BJ and Bob for your hard work!
It is delightful to be recognized.

I can speak for BJ when I say we are happy that you are happy. We are very excited about the site, and the huge amounts of hits the site has had already. For those of you who don't know, price data is now being added. In addition, we have over 800 dies listed. We didn't figure on getting that number until sometime in mid 2009. Now...we are looking at close to a thousand by the end of next year.
As I said...we are happy if you folks are happy with the site. Thank you for making it what it is!

Thanks Jeremy.
I truly wasn't aware it is a 'discovery piece', all I wanted was for BJ or Bob to see it and maybe get a much nicer picture than I could accomplish. However, all that aside, it is exciting to be 'published'. I believe this one is a replacement for an earlier duplicate die.
Now I am having "Fun With Lincolns"!
Best,
JeanK
