View Full Version : [Example] Duct tape works on anything !!!!!!!!

:tinysmile_eyebrow_t This is a No Date Lincoln Wheat Back that is Graded AU-58.


It has been struck through "DUCT TAPE" on the Obverse.

This is the only Lincoln Wheatback I have seen or heard of that has been struck this way. I have seen many that were struck through cloth or other matter.

I took photos at different angles to show the texture. However I do not know what the texture of Duct Tape looked like when Wheatbacks were minted. I do believe however the grade of the coin should be higher, but how do you grade Duct Tape? :LOL_Hair: Any comments are welcome!

Great Joe, but we cannot tell you the grade of the duct tape until you can tell us more. Like, what color was it? At what store it was purchased, and what time of day?
Was it one of several rolls, or just a loner.....? :sign10:

:tinysmile_eyebrow_t Beats me. I bought the coin as being struck thru cloth. However over a year ago the graders determined it was duct tape. It doesn't matter to me, as it is a very good example of a (Tape/Cloth weave) on a wheatback cent.:LOL_Hair:
