I thought about this coin for afew day's. Is it a fake?

It looks good to me, nothing about it says that it would be fake.

Hard to tell from the picture. Could be real, but may be cleaned or whizzed. If you want one, I would spend the extra $ to get a certified example. You may be able to get a PCGS MS 63 RED for $250. When I'm buying a coin like this I usually track 5 or 6 similar auction to see what they go for. Find some ANACS, NGC, and PCGS examples of 62,63 and 64's. Watch what they sell for. Also, don't go buy BUY-IT-NOW prices...those are almost always high. I have noticed a lot of coins selling for under what the PCGS price guide lists them as. I just bought a 1924 D PCGS XF 45 for $103 off Ebay. The price guide lists it at $150.

The whizzing is hard to tell from the capsule he has it in. I honestly don't thitnk it is. If it is whizzed it's returned. Thank's Brad for your honesty.

I had a few,Thank GOD I didnt buy them, That has the 6 from the 1936 buffed of and trust me!!!...You cant really tell without the loupe...so..be careful..but I see he has very good feedback , You shouldnt have anything to worry about..I hope you sent the money with the hold on it just in case!

The shape of the 3 is quite distinct for 1931 so 1936 would look different. This one has the right shape.

Ok, the coin arrived today. Here are the pictures. The thing that concerns me now is the left wheat stalk. The coin appears to be a LDS coin so that might account for why it looks that way. Thank's for your help.

Thank you all for your comment's. Joe, It does go into a album. I hope oldest son will appreciate it one day. Then again, I might just have it graded but probably album.
