:tinysmile_eyebrow_tThis is proably one of my favorite Lincoln Errors.

This is a 1985 Dual Dated Bonded Pair. The coins weigh 5.0 Grams.

This type of error is not very common as they do not usually escape from the mint and when they do come up for sale there is alot of heavy bidding. Prices can escalate quite dramatically at an auction for any bonded pair.

This coin can also be found up to multiples being bonded together. In the Error Encyclopedia by Margolis & Weinberg there is mention of a 100 such cents stuck together, being used as a paper weight by a Mint official.

I do not want to ever have this coin encapsulated (Proably to deep)as it makes an interesting study piece. So enjoy!!!!!

1985 was proably found in a mint sealed bag or came from a counting/rolling facility. Thank you for the comments.

This bonded set will slide apart, however the 1 piece has two dates showing,that is the reason I purchased the coin(s) so I could study them.

I have never seen a bonded pair where they would separate and then could be placed back together again.

I don't know Joe....There's a lot of 'Mating' and 'Bonding' going on with your coins. I think it's definitely time for them to get a room :sign10:
