This is a nice 1983 Doubled Die Reverse Lincoln Die#1, which has been graded MS-65 Red.

This coin exhibits very strong doubling on all the lettering on the reverse and it can be seen without the aid of magnification. This coin was found in circulation several years ago.

The coin was sent to NCS in a raw state as it had contamination in areas on the reverse and obverse. They conserved the coin and sent it down to NGC for grading. I have found 3 of this variety in circulation and this is the highest graded.

Nice Brad: Did you notice how they change the wording on the tags?

I am not very familiar with NGC slabs. Which of ours came first?

Joe:
After I get the 1914-d, I will then concentrate to get the 22 plain, 55/55, 72, 83, 84 double dies.
Real nice coin.

The 55 doubled die will be the toughest to get since it is rarely found in low grades. The 22 plain is not easy if you are looking for die pair 2.

Don't know about anyone else Joe, but I cannot see anything on the coins without magnification... and I wear reading glasses!
Love the coin.

I wear tri-focals and I can see the doubling with out the loupe. If you had it in hand you could see it also.

NO, I am not sending it for you too look at, you will have to do with the pictures until you find yours!!!!!!!:LOL_Hair:
