This is a 1969 D/D Small Date over Large Date Lincoln Cent. This coin has been graded MS-62 Red/Brown as it was found in circulation.
The doubling is evident as a Small Date over Large Date. There is also a very wide RPM, with the secondary "D" far north of the primary "D", actually touching the "9" of the date.
You can almost see this variety with out the use of magnification on the overdate. Do not confuse this example with ejection doubling.

As usual, great looking coin!
This is one of my favorite varieties. The best DDO & RPM combo.

That's a nice photo B J and the coin is proably a higher grade than mine.
Also did you notice the die crack below the date? It indicates a LDS. The EDS (without the die crack) will bring a premium.

I have had four of this die, with this one, even though it is MDS, being the nicest. It is I believe a MS-63. By the way, the die crack is found on the MDS die as well as the LDS die

Nice enough for both Joe and BJ to share. I envy you both!

I didn't know it was on MDS.
I figured your coin would grade higher than a 63.
Nice BJ and thanks for the tidbit on the die crack.
Joe,
I think BJ's may be EDS. Your's may be MDS. Regardless it is MS quality.

Joe,
I think BJ's may be EDS. Your's may be MDS. Regardless it is MS quality.
I believe mine is LDS and BJ's MDS as both have the die crack just below the date and Lincoln's coat. I would love to upgrade to a EDS MS-65 if I can find one. :)
It would be an early X-Mas present for next year.:LOL_Hair:

I just took a look at the CONECA variety master list for this die and surprisingly enough the die scratch (gouge, crack) between the 1 and 9 digit developed during the EDS of the die. I also took a look at the long straight die scratch from the bottom of the 1 digit to the mint mark. This is found on the VEDS die.
So CCC, i do believe you to be correct; this is more than likely a EDS while Joe's maybe a MDS.
I am rather harsh on grading and tend to undergrade than over grade. This way I do not get into any trouble (LOL).
Okay, while we are on this subject; has there ever been a coin with a DDO, a DDR and a RPM. If so, what year and what denomination?

Actually BJ, both yours and Joe's show the die gouge in the upper 6 of the date. That would make them both a later die state. I do not believe either to be an EDS specimen.
This one is a late Stage B/early Stage C example. Notice that the die crack is still there, but if you look at the tail of the 6 in the date, you will not see the lowest anomaly many think is the tip of the small date 6. It is actually a gouge of some sort.
BJ, A 1941D Lincoln had all three: 1DO-001, 1DR-003, 1MM-007.:)
