What year is it. Another hint besides the one on the photo (zinc)
If I am right this will be cool.

Not an RDV issue either as the heading states. Guess I hit the wrong one. But the intitials do narrow down the date.

Oh well I gotta go to work so I'll finish this. Not much of a test but I you guys got the year range down. From what I understood the wavysteps/Trails were only known from '85 to date. Unless I am mistaken this one had fairly strong trails from the EPU north some on states north.
1982P

Hi Steven,
The exact date when the MINT began experimenting with the single squeeze hubbing system is unknown. From the looks of this 1982 die, that date could be pushed farther back and if possible I would very much like to see it.
Just for information sake, John Wexler has attributed two 1984 proof Lincoln cent dies with wavy steps, however, since I have not seen either of the two, they are not included in my files.

I'd be glad to send it to you.
Probably be Thu/Fri before I can get it sent.

Funny, I have only been searching for a week or so now and I guessed it at an 82 or 83....I find myself guessing the date before I flip them over by the strike on the back and I am surprised at how often I am correct or within a year...Now if I could just tell if something is doubled or not.
I thought I found a DD last night, but I think it was shadows or something...I just had to put it down it was late...I think my eyes crossed.
