Found this early this morning.
This is a 2005 Lincoln which has a prominent Partial Titled Collar Strike. What makes this unusual is that it was made on a new Schuler Press. It has very distinctive set of "Railroad Tracks " about half way around the rim.
Most of these do not escape the mint as they are caught by the riddler at the end of the coin production line.
Excellent example of that mint error type. And a beauty of a coin to boot! Congratulations Joe!
This is already starting to be a banner year for LCR members! Keep em coming everybody ....
Regards,
Billy

This board is so vital because the recent finds are not "squirrelled" away, hidden in some dark place on a link that vanishes into all the other links, like the GM dashboard display of the Riviera touchscreen some years back. When we wanna see a new find, we go to the primary thread, and Viola!, there's the next best thing. Once I get a camera, I will do the same, thanks for the pics all.

I have had reports from the FUN show. Lots of interesting and well known folks there. There have been a few new discoveries made, and it seems to have been well attended. They have not been able to talk to JT Stanton or Bill Fivaz yet about the CPG though.

Thanks for the update Bob.
I caught this thread. Thank's Bob

That 1996 WHOPPER coin is already up on this board. Great work, Brad. Awesome pics and all. Speed of light serves everyone so very well, and nothing but optimistic, supportive members. But that it were this way everywhere, brothers.

Older dates prior to 1997 are known to be fairly prevalent.
When you get into the new Schuler presses (Squeeze system) then they are fairly hard to find as they (Mint) uses a riddler system at the end of production line that sorts out the mis-shapen coins as they will not fall thru the holes in the riddler.
Some do make it like if a mint employee finds a coin on the floor he will toss it into a bin that is going out the the Fed Bank and counting room to be rolled for customer use.
