But since that last digit is totally missing ... what if this is the 1996???? Granted, it could be a 1998 or 1999, but ..... it could also be a 1996.

I saw that when he posted it and wondered if it was copper plated over gold at that price.

1996???? It would be worth the price. HHMMMMMMMM! No bids yet?????

could it also not be a 1990-1992?

could it also not be a 1990-1992?

Good point, for some reason I didn't even think of that.

True! If we could get a closer shot of the obverse we could tell by the design of Lincoln for those particular date years, especially for 1992 the chin, beard are really different.

I took a look at the closer images added to the auction.

At best, it's still very difficult. However, there is one key image that helps. It's the closer view of the cut-off date. For the 1992 dated Lincoln cents those digits are much thicker, as well as the letters of LIBERTY and the motto. The beard strands of the chin are much different in design. So, from what I'm seeing in those added images, it appears to me to not be a 1992 dated cent.

With that said, and I stress, I'm going by what I can try to see in those added images, it appears to me this is more of a 1990 or 1991 dated cent mated with a correct style of Wide AM reverse that were used for those particular years.

Anyway, that's what I'm coming up with the limited images available for viewing.

Exactly. Why would anyone pay that much for an Off-Centered DATELESS coin. Its 199? I doubt that its a 98 or 99...or even a 96 NOW..lol Its most likely a 90-92
