I know it's in an ANACS case, but this eBay item,
http://cgi.ebay.com/ANACS-MS-63-RED-1984-DOUBLE-CLIPPED-LINCOLN-CENT_W0QQitemZ120375842633QQihZ002QQcategoryZ524QQ ssPageNameZWDVWQQrdZ1QQcmdZViewItem
has a large clip that doesn't look "real" to me. There is no softening of the strike or rim around the larger clip, and minimal Blakesley effect. I admit I don't have a very trained "error eye" but this one looks suspicious to me.
What do you think?

The small clip is correct as you can see the edges (Rev) taper into the clipped area.
The large clip is suspect as it is to clean and no inward tapering of the rim into the opening of the large clipped area.
Remember not all clips produce a Blakesley effect. This one also has a misaligned die on the obverse which would negate alot of the Blakesley effect.
My opinion that it is not a true 100% clipped planchet. It received some help along the way after it left the mint.

I agree. It does not look genuine to me, especially that large clip.

I know that taking photos through a holder is hard to do, but coin has the appearance of being cleaned.

The large clip is ragged and does not follow the contours of a true arc.
I am not to sure what year this ANACS slab is and I am unsure who the attributer was who did this coin. As Billy and others have pointed out, there is something odd about the whole deal. Unfortunately Mike Diamond is busy or I would sic him on this coin; he has one of the best eyes for detecting fakes and the real thing.
