I bought a box of Log Cabin Lincolns, and it's odd, they say the date is February 8th. Does this mean it is a pre-release box, or just that is was produced b4 the official release date of the 12th. It was from the Washington DC mint store, and as such was released on the 12th like all the other sites. So what does this early date really mean? Can it be certified as early releases, or pre-release, or any of those other high falootin' phrases that HSN uses to hawk their stuff. BTW, don't ask how much it was, it was still less than a box of 1986 d BU OBW. That's my take, I wanted EDS.

Most likely that is the control date that the issuing bank received the coins, the coins could have been made many weeks before that date. Dale
