Lava!!..hahaha...Thats the first thought i had when I seen it..Its graded by NGC so it must be struck thru something. It sure is cool!! Looks like it went thru some kind of string or something like that :tinysmile_hmm_t2:

It sold for $112! I still say it looks like it was found in a house fire. Burnt copper coins have the exact same color/appearance. Did NGG say uh? I don't know, what did they say on the submission sheet? Struck-thru! Ya sure ok. Just my opinion.

Identifying the error but not a grade or am I missing something. I'm not up on slabbed coins is why I ask..Why wouldn't there be a grade????

How would there be a grade? The rev? Doesnt look burnt, you can see where it was some sort of string. It still has a nice rim on it.
Has the Mustafa look to it. Immmmpresssive!

OK! I'll tell you this. I bid on this coin (at $112.00) however the winner beat me out with a proxy bid of $112.00. He submitted his bid earlier than I did and won the auction because his was the earliest bid at the same price I bid.
Yes; I have never seen a struck thru Copper like this one.
Steven: Some grading companies now days do not put a grade on an error coin. They all did at one time, however how do you grade one that has 3/4 Zinc showing or some other anomaly. My self I don't care if they are graded or not. I look for eye appeal of the error it's self, or window dressing as I call it. This one has UGLY Window dressing.
