Hi Everyone,

I've wanted to send these coins in for grading at PCGS for a long time and never did when I had the money to do so. I've always thought that they would grade very high but their mine so I might be over grading. If you wouldn't mind could you go to my pic folder (click my name) and give your honest opinion on the 1939 and 1943 cents. I've compared them to Heritage auctions but their pics are so much better than mine. Don't be shy either! Just an honest opinion from a 3rd party might ease my mind. That's all I'll say about them for now.....Thank You for your opinion if you choose to give it.

If your coins will grade MS67 yes. (In my honest from the pics of the obverses they will not make the grade) If MS65 or lower no way. They are all too common with lots 'o rolls still out there. A recent graysheet list the 1939D MS65RED at 7 bucks BID and 7.50 ASK, the 1943 in MS65 is $2.75 BID and $3.00 ASK. The grading cost alone on these dates in MS65 would be more than what the coin is worth and would result in a financial - minus. It was only a couple years back I bought two slabbed 1939-S and 1939-D's MS66RED for 10 bucks each and was able the cherry the best of the slabs. (He had about a dozen or so of each) Lincolns of this nature will eat up the money. Better off saving the grading fee and invest it in say ... a nice a semi-key.

Thanks for the responses so far guys, that's the question floating around in my mind...Would these grade MS67 or better?

Nice looking coins, but MS 67 is tough. I don't think the 39 would make it. That scratch on the temple.
