Looking at VarietyVista there is only one MM style used in 1950 and that is the Trumpet Tail which is what you have there. So to answer your question...No it's not inverted.

Thank You Lestrrr. Is Variety Vista a web site?

Go to Coneca.com and there is 4 boxes on the top of the home page...you'll see them right in front of you. Click on Variety Vista and you'll see links for several different things. It's a very helpful site. I've never tried just typing in Varietyvista.com. I just tried it and it works.

Nope, not inverted...this one is normal.
But I like the train of thought...none have ever been reported, but that doesn't mean they cannot exist.

Okay Chuck - what about the 1946-S Lincoln with inverted ball serif mint mark? Or are you just referring to 1950 Lincoln's?

It was a 1950S that was posted...that's what I was referring to. I am aware that other Lincolns are known to have inverted mintmarks.
Not a bad idea to check every S mint coin for a possible inverted mintmark - you never know what may show up.

how about this one??? Is there a break on the bottom of the s. or is that struck through grease?

It's just a shallow punch. Most of the time these were repunched to strengthen the mintmark, and sometimes doubled resulting in a repunched mintmark.
But this one is normal. The large serif is supposed to be on the top.

This is an obscure variety, so thanks for posting it!
