In 1982 Dr. Sol Taylor started a club for Lincoln cent collectors after interest for such a club was brought to his attention at a California show. He wrote a book on Lincoln Cents, "The Standard Guide to the Lincoln Cent," that not only became the flagship book of the society, but has been one of the longest running titles in numismatic books today. It is currently in its fourth edition, and the fifth edition is being compiled now.

Shortly after founding the society, Dr. Taylor started the, "Lincoln Cent Quarterly (LCQ)," a quarterly journal of Lincoln cent news, which is currently in its 27th edition! Inside each issue is a mail bid sale open to consignments and bids by any SLCC member. Also inside each issue are articles written by Lincoln cent specialists that are often not published anywhere else.

In April 2009 the club was turned over to Charles D. Daughtrey, editor of the LCQ and 30 year Lincoln cent specialist. Charles is the second ever President of this club since it was founded more than 27 years ago!

The Society of Lincoln Cent Collectors has an annual dues of $15, which includes the ability to bid and consign in the mail bid sales, a subscription to the, "Lincoln Cent Quarterly," and discounts on books written by Dr. Taylor and Charles D. Daughtrey.

For a FREE issue of the LCQ, send your address to me by PM or send an email to cd@coppercoins.com

That will come rather soon. I do not yet have the fictitious name application approved so that I can open a bank account for the club. I am working on that today.

I applied and received the fictitious name for the club in the State of Missouri yesterday, and opened a bank account in the name of the club...so I guess I am ready to open a Paypal account for the club and get going. More later...

I have the paypal account opened and CAN NOT get a payment button to work on the site...so I am completely stuck. I have no idea where to turn. It just doesn't work, and I have played with it for hours now. Bummer, I probably will not be accepting online payments. That sucks.

Any help?

Where are you trying to create the payment button? Is the info on Coppercoins.com?

If I don't choose to pay by paypal or credit card where is the downloadable form mentioned on the site? OOps I think I asked this at the same time you made the above entry about the payment button.

Yeah, I haven't done that part yet. Forgive me, I'm having a bad week over this. I'm being lazy about finishing the job because I cannot get a simple step to work properly. Forgive me while I feel sorry for myself and pout.
