Light/Missing 'L'

On a 73...Is this just a worn letter? It's odd to me as the rest of the letters and date on the coin are in much better condition. Thanks!

Yeah.. That's just wear or a weak die. It's common on RUST in Trust and sometimes the last digit of the date.. Just depends..

Could be a filled die. The die gets filled with "mint grease". Just like the 1922 weak d's.
