Just came across this one and from reading Billy's book it appears that this one hasn't turned up in some time

I believe you're looking at machine doubling there.

The extras on the 6 and the 9 are not flat and the scratches match those in the image in Billy's book. Hmmm...

Hi Jon,
Looking at Billy Crawfords files it does look the same just more worn or later die state but do you have the clashed die remnants that he points out? The secondary images do look flat compared to Billy's but their extremely close.

The coin is fairly worn and no the clash marks are not present, but to that I don't imagine they would stick around too long (die state/wear level). The apparent flatness could be a result of my photography skills. I guess this will be one to send out...
Thanks for the input

Could you post a pic of the reverse...full shot? Actually let's see obverse and reverse. Just a feeling but this feels right and I would ask Billy to take a look at it.

Here are both shots
It is most certainly a doubled die and not machine doubling. From your images it looks like it could be my CDDO-001 and is also cross-referenced in John Wexler's "W" files as WDDO-001.
Nice find!
