Loading custom avatar

Hi, I'm having trouble loading a custom picture as my avatar. I shrunk it below 100 pixs, but it keeps saying the load failed. What am I doing wrong?

ok, so it seems it loaded because right there it is beside my name?

Soon a s you hit save, it will load. You might of thought it didnt load, like I did alot of times, and hit save again and thats why it says load failed. Its becuz it already loaded
