Lamination

Looking thorugh another roll of LP1s and saw this. Something different. Looks like the same bit of lamination that dislodged from the planchet was struck through right next to where it came off. Whatcha think. Would I be too far off on this thought process.

That's what it looks like Steven. Kind of unusual to have the struck thru fragment hanging around. Nice find.

That's exactly right, I have numerous laminations that have dislodged and were attached back to the coin at different locations during the striking process. Its a keeper.
