I recently bought a set extending from 1959 - 2007 all stated to be BU
How i Can crosscheck it?

An uncirculated coin will have no trace of wear. It may have nicks or fingerprints but not wear. It could be red, red/brown or brown as long as it's not worn it is considered uncirculated.
