That is rather interesting Mike. The gash could be post mint damage, but the lack of the fourth number appears to be struck through grease... maybe? I think there is a shadow of a number 1 in that last date slot.
These error coins are fun to find. If we put all the ones from this forum together we might have quite a collection of 19?? to 19??.

Yes it is struck thru grease or debris.

Thats a very nice example of a filled die. ( struck thru grease ) . It appears to be a one. Now if you can find 3 more coins with each of the other digits missing, from this year, that would be really special..

For someone who's paranoid about there age, and was born in the 60's, this would be the perfect coin to put in a birthday set. Just have to find the nickel, dime and quarter with a filled die over the last digit of the date on all of them too.
