So I have this 1939P cent.. It's light.. Infact it weight 2.4g vs the 3.2g. Any ideas?

Planchet material rolled too thin?

I do not think that a rolled to thin planchet would be the cause for a lose of 1/4 of the coins weight. Is the reverse a weak strike? To be honest with you, I am thinking that this coin was dipped in acid which will reduce it.
