Hi to all fellows LCR's
Does any one know of a single source where all the 2009 Lincoln Cent errors found thus far can be referenced with attribution numbers and pictures? Thanks

You can always try Wexler's site. http://doubleddie.com/1801.html
Or Billy has been putting the Supplements online with all the varieties in them.
Here is the link http://www.dvnmagazine.com/ He does not have all the supplements still online but if you need them I should be able to email them to you.

Welcome to LCR Mo.
Single source, not that I am aware of. I use a combination of four sources. Crawford's, Wexler's, coppercoins and coneca's files.
Steven
Here are the links to coppercoins and coneca:

coppercoins reverse (http://www.coppercoins.com/lincoln/dietype.php?date=2009&die_mint=p&die_type=dr&page=0)

OOOOPS!!!! Sorry about that.
AND I guess I didn't read the heading well either as it references errors and not doubled dies or traildies. I gotta pay more attention:tinysmile_cry_t3:

While in the midst of the flood of FY and EC discoveries limiting yourself to one source wouldn't make [cents].:LOL_Hair:
One should use all four sources regularly. Each source has, at this point, unique doubled dies not listed by the others. They all have various information, overlays, resources and die markers that will aid collectors in their quest of attribution. :)

I agree with Jason C. All these sites are distinctly unique and yet more times than not complimentary to each other. All these site hold a wealth of knowledge made available to us amature attributors. I use them all regularly.

just wander around them site and download anything you can off of DVN. I really like his also. I like coppercoin because it does the searching for you on alot of coins. Varietyvista is all right there to the point and really nice on each die stage but just doesnt have any cross-references.

My fav site has to be Coppercoins.com. Chuck and Bob have a great site and they update it often...lots of pics.
You cannot get to the 2009 ddr's on coppercoins through the date guide.

I definitely have to agree with those who suggest you use all of the resources available. Part of the reason for the cross references on each site (except CONECA), is that the attributers want to ensure collectors have the best information out there in the shortest period of time. We do not look at it as a competition.
For those of you who primarily use Variety Vista at CONECA, James Wiles will not list cross references on his site....period. His reasoning is his business although some of us know why. Either way, that site does offer valuable information. Take advantage of everything available to you.

I couldn't agree with Bob more. He is right, use every source available.
Currently, I am working on adding web pages to my DVN site. These web pages will cover each of the FY and EC variety listings in my files. Each particular web page will include the photo of the variety, overlay of the variety, die markers of the variety and general information to include cross-references. It will not be anything fancy, but just simple and easy to use. Once I get it done, as new listings come in, I will just add another web page for that particular listing.
I will let you know the link when completed.

I would like to second that - THANK YOU ALL!
Now I would like to add the slightest of suggestions. I'm saying this as an educator, someone who knows how hard it is to get someone who doesn't want to learn, to learn.
Even though more than enough information is available about FY and EC varieties and doubled dies in general (one only needs to read), the amount of misinformed collectors and sellers appears to be growing. (Or so it seems...) Just looking at eBay auctions for these coins is a nightmarish. People selling, who should know better, are labeling them as "errors" and calling them "double dies," amongst other issues (many discussed on LCR already). I fear in the long term we'll just have this larger army of misinformed collectors educated by eBay auctions. What I am wondering is if collectors, when they visit sites for 2009 DDR information, shouldn't be presented with a few (simple) bullet-points for them to consider...just a thought...
Or maybe eBay should give prospective sellers a test they have to pass before they can sell...AS IF :tinysmile_hmm_t:

Jason, I plan to build a special web page devoted to helping collectors with some of the lingo and nuances of the variety hobby once I get done building all the web pages for the FY and EC varieties.
If any of you want to take a look at a few web pages to get an idea of what they look like you can click on any of the below links. Nothing fancy, simple, straight-forward pages with photos, overlays, die markers and any known cross-references with other attribution filing systems.
When all the FY and EC variety listings web pages are done, I will build a home page that will have a very small thumbnail of that variety with a link to the web page for that particular variety.
FY CDDR-001 (http://www.dvnmagazine.com/fycddr001.html), FY CDDR-002 (http://www.dvnmagazine.com/fycddr002.html), FY CDDR-003 (http://www.dvnmagazine.com/fycddr003.html), FY CDDR-004 (http://www.dvnmagazine.com/fycddr004.html), FY CDDR-005 (http://www.dvnmagazine.com/fycddr005.html), FY CDDR-006 (http://www.dvnmagazine.com/fycddr006.html), FY CDDR-007 (http://www.dvnmagazine.com/fycddr007.html), FY CDDR-008 (http://www.dvnmagazine.com/fycddr008.html), FY CDDR-009 (http://www.dvnmagazine.com/fycddr009.html), FY CDDR-010 (http://www.dvnmagazine.com/fycddr010.html), FY CDDR-011 (http://www.dvnmagazine.com/fycddr011.html) and FY CDDR-012 (http://www.dvnmagazine.com/fycddr012.html).
The EC pages will look the same. Once totally done, then as new additions come in I can quickly upload the new web page and will be ready for viewing by collectors in only a few minutes.
I hope that you will find the web pages helpful in your searching and collecting endeavors.

Thanks Jason and Bob.
Bob, when you get a chance, just make sure I get your CC listing correct on the web page. I'm getting older and I can easily hit a wrong key and end up making a crossing error.

Will do Billy. I'll check the cross references in a bit. Talk about getting old, I cross referenced a coppercoins number on a coin I sold last week to the same coppercoins number.:| The brain cells are quickly taking their leave of me.

Billy - That is a great idea that you have embarked on. I am in the process of shooting the series (from WDDR-001 to WDDR-065) for a power point project that will be made into a lecture of sorts. The person who was doing it was down loading pictures (yours, Bob's and John's) without permission. As we all are, I am sensitive who uses pictures for what, so to save time, I offered to the photography for the known doubled dies.
I am sure that you do have a permanent site Billy, but I will offer space on traildies.com for your project if you do need it. This site has an average of 30+ people a day visiting it.
BJ
Thanks BJ, I appreciate it and if needed will let you know.
OK, I just started the home page that will link up to ALL the FY and EC variety listings.
It's simple, with a very small thumbnail of the variety which will help in quicker loading of the page. All you have to do is click on the photo of that particular variety and it will take you to the main web page for that same particular variety.
I only just started and just put up a couple of listings this evening so you can test it out.
If you want you can bookmark the below link which would be the home page to the FY and EC variety listings. Obviously, it's going to expand quite a lot in the next few days catching up on all the listings. Plus, I have a bunch of new listings to add in as well.
But the nice thing is once it's all done, then it's just add the new listings as they come in.
Let me know if this works OK for you and your thoughts/feedback?
I'm striving to make it simple, easy-to-use for quick referencing look-ups.

I like that each variety opens in a new window. I like that all the varieties will be thumbnailed to a single page which makes it easy to glance at when trying to attribute one. I like that the thumbnails are not so small as to not be able to see the variety.
Are the thumbnails going to be in a single row or 2 across, 3 across etc?
Will you have a search engine on the site that would recognize, let's say key words for markers. For instance, let's say I found a DDR but don't recoginize the listing number and want to go to your site to attribute. I know there is a die crack on the boot. So I enter die crack boot in the search and all the listings that have a die crack on the boot comeup which limits my attribution search down to a minimum.
This is going to be such a great site/page. I know it's a lot of initial work to get it put together and up and running, but hopefully it will be a matter of routine keeping it up as new listings are discovered.
Also, Did I read in another post that you were going to put some sort of educational material on the site?

Your right Jason, shooting through those can be a pain in the arse. But, I do a special technique that always works for me for shooting any type of slab or whatever the coin is encapsulated in.
Rock, yes, I plan to eventually incorporate some search engine and also plan to include some various general educational sections within the site as well.
I recommend you periodically check the home page as I will be updating it every day. Hopefully will get this fully up and running in short order.
