Hello,
Any feedback on this 1983 d would be helpful. I am getting a profile shift as well as an irregular bowtie that is facing the on looker. I am also seeing the word god in between we & trust. I see alot that probably is nothing though so any feedback would be helpful.

I am not to sure what to tell you about this coin. I cannot see any of the things that you talk about in your pictures. It could possibly be a double struck coin from the description that you give, however, only an in hand analysis would be able to determine that.

Hi Schaf,
I am not positive about its probable anomalies either. Perhaps you can send it to one of the experts for a closer look. Sometimes our magnifiers and cameras play tricks with out eyes and can cause some odd looking coins. If you want to send it to me I can take some more pictures and see if the anomalies show up. Remember I am not an expert of attributions. PM me.

I was thinking a double strike too, except, wouldn't the profile and other details be turned around or something? I don't know.........I'm not an error person.

I don't believe this is double struck. I believe we may be seeing duplication caused by a plating problem. As BJ said, it would require an in hand examination to be absolutely sure.

Very weird. It looks like something but it makes no sense at all...
