Hi Everyone,

I usually do not post pictures b/c I just do not think I can get the details I need (like with rpms). However, I think I was able to get close enough to show the reverse of this coin which seems to have an error in AMERICA. At first I thought it might be a struck through error, but I just do not know errors very well. The area on the reverse where the letters are missing looks depressed as if someone took a spoon and scooped that area away. Any help will be greatly appreciated!

Thanks
Greg

I would think the die was clogged with grease or something as opposed to the die being worn down, but I am still new to evaluating errors...

I've got a cent that is sooo similar to yours, at first I thought it was a clogged die. But, there is an indentation that goes below the coins surface. I'm not to sure what to think of it now...

I've got one similiar too. A nice little error. I just assume it's a strike thru grease error.

Thanks for the comments everyone. I too thought it was maybe a clogged die or a struck through error, but I just do not see how being struck through grease would leave an indentation that is below the surface of teh coin.
